You don't want to be doing that as the cooler is best fed by the return pump.
What I am trying to say, this arrangement of having oil pipes virtually touching exhaust pipes is going to heat the oil up, the oil would be better if it was not heated. It gets more than hot enough by lubricating the engine without adding more heat.
Just a thought.

Yes, I know what you mean John, whatever route I go with the pipes... they will still be close to the exhaust.

Peter i promised a picture. My health exercise got me to the garage today. Both footrests are scalloped, its not much but certainly looks professionally done rather than a previous owner job
The scallop just about shows:in the picture. I am pretty sure this was how these bike would have come from the factory.
