Mag timing gear wheel.

Post by Rosy »

I naively removed the coil ignition on my G9 and fitted the new magneto I bought, thinking at the time I bought the mag that the distributer timing gear wheel would fit the mag, but it is totally different. I went ahead thinking I could just buy a K2F mag gear wheel but so far with no luck, I've tried most magneto suppliers and breakers. So I am wondering if any other gear wheel will fit from a Triumph/BSA etc? I have put an advert on this site for one hoping someone on here might have one they might part with, or it may be a case of refitting the coil ignition. I did wonder why the bike was fitted with coil ign, and not a mag now I know.
