Restoration 1961 G3 came with this tank attached by various bolts and brackets designed by Heath Robinson! No matter what I do, it will not allow the front mounting holes to line up as the frame tubes seem too big. Measurements as best...
mounting holes 4inch centres, tube gap there 2 1/2 ", length of tube hollow 18" depth 7", oval cut out 10" x 8 1/2". Odd mounting design by seat end. Any suggestions please?
Thanks, Tony

It is a lightweight tank I believe, the rear fixing gives it away.

Thanks chaps ..... did wonder about the lightweight possibility. Back to Heath Robinson for a suitable design! MInd you, goes with the rest of the problems the bike has come with.

Didn't know there was such a noticeable difference when it comes to lightweight tanks. Good to know.
