You need knee grips for a L/W or 1962 only H/W. Hunter Engineering or AMC Classic spares Pt No. 042464/5.

Re: Need Tank Rubbers ,
I have a tank with knee grip brackets as yours but you have there the shorter tank - the rear frame mount is behind the tank, this could be an early tank or maybe the CS off roady 250.
The later and non CS tanks are longer with the rear mount under the tank. The bigger tanks had a welded seam on the top.
Cheers

Re: Need Tank Rubbers ,
Hello, I have these sitting in the shed if they are any good to you they are 8.5 inch from edge to edge through the A.J.S embossment on the seen side & 7.5 inch from the inside lip on the tank fitment side would take a lot less than that price.

Re: Need Tank Rubbers ,
There are a lot of tank rubbers coming in from India and China which are absolute rubbish - I know, I bought some for one of my other marque bikes. The fit was awful, the rubber hard with gaps behind. I cut them in half and managed to start four bonfires with them.residentalien wrote:Have found a outlet , but not paying close to £50 , if anyone knows of a better place and price , please let me know !
If you want good quality rubbers that fit and look right then the Hunter Engineering ones are top quality but they are expensive. That is where I bought mine - not sure if that is where the club ones are made.

Re: Need Tank Rubbers ,
I vandalised my tank by cutting off those brackets and filled the recess and intend to use the much cheaper later stick- on ones because I think they look nicer. Wouldn't be too much trouble to restore the brackets in the future should it be required.
