On the subject of oil leaks

Post by spookefoote1956 »

The Beast has always had a constant loss system from the oil send and returns going into the crankcases. There is now no shortage of SAE 40 on the Isle of Man. I think she's just nervous and slightly incontinent. Are there meant to be olives on the pipes or does anyone have any workable solutions for her tena moments?

Cheers, Chris

The bikes are about 60 years old. The need for grinding valve seats, replacing valve and seats has been done constantly. I have never read of the need to replace Olives and make good their seats. I grind mine to seat clean also head and barrel. Same as done to valves
