Could any kind soul measure the distance from the centre of one of the forward engine mount bolts to the centre of the front wheel spindle with the bike on the centre-stand?

1955 18CS
From centre of upper forward engine bolt (big cast lug on frame downtube) to centre of wheel spndle 544mm.
Note bike was on axle stands so there was some weight on the front wheel.

Thanks for that. I assume it would be the same for a non-competition bike

My 54 18s measures 21.75" or so, that's from a crude measurement between the center of the axle and upper forward engine stud on the bottom part of the magnito platform
Fix it until it's broken!

Otherwise how will
anything get done?
