New oil pump guide pin

Post by poweller996 »

Hi all,
I'm trying to source a new oil pump guide pin for my ajs model 14 1959 part no 010079
I have tried Jampot spares They do not have any in stock and do not know when they are getting some more in.
Does anyone know where I could source one from??
Many thanks mat.

Many thanks Paul and rob,
I have tried club spares but they have none due to changing supplier and not sure when their going to get some in.
Thanks for link Paul I will try them, I owe you a drink if I see u at a club rally one day for all your help.!
Just a quick question, when I refitted my gearbox it was a pig to get back in, is this normal or was I just making as ass of it?
Many thanks mat.

Can be a bit of a pig with that strap/ adjuster contraption thingy and those plates that seem to have shrunk a tad since they were removed!! I painted mine (the plates)and that was enough to stop me getting them in the right place, had to scrape the paint off the edges again to get then the fit round the box ok. Wait until you try to get the engine out!!!

That is exactly how it was Paul the bloody plates looked as if they had shrunk, but with lots of cussing and wiggling I got it all Line up..!

Yes I had exactly the same problem, ended up loosening the engine bolts and using a tie down ratchet strap to pull the engine away from the gearbox.
