This is not a turkey baster either - but it is a less intrusive method of 'anally' determining TDC

I bought a basic dial gauge similar to that one and am making the rest out of an old spark plug and some metal tube. It's a lot cheaper that way. I would have had it finished but there are so many other little jobs to be done. Cheers. Home made out of a length of aluminium rod - it helps when you have a lathe, taps, dies etc.
