Can anyone tell me the use of this hull/lug and the size? Sidecar?
I believe it's 26 tpi

Yes, it is the rear lower sidecar mounting lug. Either a ball-joint or an eye-bolt can be screwed into this lug.

Your rear brake looks like it needs attention. Linings replaced or expander shimmed out.

The thread is 3/4" (0.75") X 20 TPI pitch. This is common to all sidecar ball joint and clevis fittings as used by Watsonian, Canterbury and others in the period. I have just measured a ball joint which spent many years on an AMC frame and can assure you that this is correct, Per.
