Bit of research on the old internet and I have established that what I need is type K hard 3/8 inch copper pipe (external diameter 0.5 inches thick walled nominal internal diameter 3/8ths) Trouble is the internet cannot identify a supplier! anyone help? wanted ad going into adverts.

I tried a search on model engineer metal supplies

http://maccmodels.co.uk/materials-metal ... -tube.html

came up showing K type tube but smaller sizes, might be worth contacting because if they have a supplier for K type tube they might be able to get your size even if it's not a stock item.

thanks Poul have now managed to source some correct thickness copper pipe. just got to bend it all up now and solder the pipe into the banjo. Won't look as good as that chromed pipe you have got though. Many thanks to West London club members for putting me onto the supplier and to Chairman Roy for helping by identifying ebay options even if I lost the insane bidding battle.

If there is any left when i have finished you would be welcome to it. Bike currently with Feked acting as pattern for the production of the correct straight (rather than kinked) over the footrest siamese pipes so might be a few weeks before I get to work on the oil pipes. By the way what I bought was the same outside diameter 1/2 inch but I think 18 SWG which is a tiny bit thinner wall thickness, but only a thou or two according to the records I looked up.
