How to move the brake & shifter forward on Daytona 125

This area is for discussion/information on the "modern" AJS motorcycles manufactured in China from 2006 onwards.

How to move the brake & shifter forward on Daytona 125

Post by tomassively »

Hi all!
I've seen so many lovely AJS Daytona 125's where the foot controls (rear brake and gear shifter) has been moved forward. But I'm not sure how to do that. Seems easy enough on the right side (brake), but the shifter is a little more complicated.

Anyone with a bit of advise? :)

Thanks!

Hi Thomas, not too famiier with the forward control on the Daytona, but it looks like from the parts sales site to be an extension piece that fits.
i would think the lever attaches to the extension and a link rod would attach to a crank on the gear box, very similar to 'rear set' footrests only 'forwards'.

http://www.ajs-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Gear ... 002_1.html it may well fit a 125 Daytona .
Which area in Spain are you?
