Dragging clutch
Having a real problem selecting gears, or once in gear getting back to neutral. Also engine stalls when coming to a stop. Have been through the adjustment procedure as per the hand book but makes no difference. Next task is to take a look inside ( I don't have a workshop manual, and any advice on where to get one appreciated) This may sound like a silly question but should you drain the oil before removing the clutch cover? It's difficult to tell from the pictures I have and this engine is so different to my old 18.

Here's a link to a military manual with Rotax engine : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzYUgS ... sp=sharing
I've an MT350 with Rotax engine. The MT Riders club is very good for all things Rotax: http://www.mtridersclub.co.uk/search.ph ... ive_topics. Sportax are good for spares. Is yours electric start?
Dave.

Re: Dragging clutch
The adjustment of the clutch is clearer in this manual : http://www.qtg.co.uk/motorbike/files/mt ... Manual.pdf
You do have to drain the oil or remove the battery and lay the bike over on it's side.
Dave.

Re: Dragging clutch
Many thanks Dave, the MT 500 manual is excellent, now I know where I am going.
Yes has an electric start. On holiday next week but after that, off it comes!
