Visit to Biggin Hill Festival of Flight

Post by chris1947 »

On Saturday 14th June seven members of the Kent Section took part in the static display of Classic & Historic vehicles at the Biggin Hill Festival of Flight. A great time was had by all with not only flying displays by classics like the Spitfire, Hurricane and ME109, but we wee privileged to witness the Lancaster Bomber of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight take off to take part in the fly past for The Queen's birthday. To top it all the Red arrows made a superb entrance into the arena prior to their display later in the day. Not only were we treated to the aforementioned displays but there was a plethora of stalls and ground entertainment including model cars, Police dogs, motocross stunt riders and to cap it all dancing girls.
