Starmaker quantum engine

Postby Paulb » Mon Aug 10, 2015 4:57 pm

I've got an AJS Stormer with a 250cc Starmaker engine which has the inscription 'Quantum 1999' marked on the crankcase and the word 'Quantum' inscribed again on the top of the barrel. Can anyone tell me to what this word 'Quantum' refers?

There are a couple of chaps with loads of knowledge who might be along soon to help you. If not, there is a page called Villiers Starmaker on a well know popular communication web site, featuring what people cooked and how well they are doing and other trivia 'click to like' There are of course some interesting pages there too!

I've currently got the engine being overhauled by a professional and initial reports are that it is sound and doesn't need much work. It's not eating anything so I think I'll put it back in the shed.
