Head Id help please

Post by Pipes66 »

Hello forum,
My friends grandfather passed on recently and I've offered to help ID'ing some parts for her. I've been told i have a pre-war head which I would like confirming. Unfortunately I can't add pictures. Can the administrator or anyone else help please?
Many thanks Peter

Hi Peter. Very sad.
You could email the photo(s) to a member who could post them for you but it's above my pay grade to offer.
Whereabouts in U.K. are the parts? There may be someone fairly local who could help.
Failing that you could trawl through the illustrated Spares Lists (link below) if you know the approx. year:

Email the photo to webmaster@jampot.com and I'll get it loaded.

In the meantime check for any casting numbers, perhaps under an exhaust port. If there are any numbers, they will be more help than pictures. In particular if it's prewar. I would know from numbers year and model. Also is the plug hole for 14 or 18mm plug, long or short reach.
