Took me years to collect all the stuff and I'm still finding stuff I never knew I had.
A similar carb with internals to suit would do the job. Had 2 people say they have 6/024 carbs in their R8's which are listed for 1930 std 500 cc OHV Ariel. They thought they had correct carbs, If Amal made a mistake, then they made a double mistake getting both AJS and Ariel wrong in their literature.

Just noticed on my 1930 Amal list, some R8's and other models had Binks carb. First I have seen of that being mentioned. Anyway it may help given the choice.
