Thank you very much for replies. Ib, maybe you have photos of pipes made for you by zorstec? If so i would be grateful if you send me them ( bejnarp@gmail.com ). How does making order in zorstec look like? Did you send them your old pipes to get the new ones or they needed only to have your motorcycle data?

Hello All
After posting some info to Matchless24 it came to my mind that I need to send out a warning: Some dealers (Armours and Feked and maybe others sell high pipes fitting both AJS and Matchless.
Maybe they do fit both, but the Matchless need a higher pipe than the AJS or else it will be difficoult to acces the magneto chain cover and the tool box. (Take a look in factory pictures in Christians Archives)

The pipes that foul the 1938 tool box were probably intented for pre 1938 that had a leather fronted toolbox behind the gearbox on the lower frame rail. I found Armours low level pipes also fouled the mag. splash guard. For twin port heads, one pipe was higher than the other, this was easily seen standing at a distance behind the bike. Also at the footrest where one can be seen lower than the other side. But I am refering to pipes purchased in 1986.
