G85CS TANK

Hi, i am building a G85CS and require the original type fibreglass tank. Does anyone have any leeds on anyone who can supply one or anyone who would very kindly loan me one so i may make a copy.
Your help is most greatful.

Hi James, there has been a lot of bad news of late concerning fibre glass petol tanks and modern petrol containing ethanol. look at previous posts on this subject before making a final decision

sorry but that is a G80CS tank not the G85CS tank.

Apart from the construction material, what is the difference between a G85 tank and a CS or P11 tank ?

The G85CS is a fibre glass tank in the style of the Rickman Metisse and the g80cs/p11 is a steel construction.

Speaking of competition models, would a'56 shortstroke barrel have the same through stud pattern as the longstroke? There's one on ebay US at the moment for huge money!

No, spacing is different & barrel is shorter but more difficult jobs have been done. Cheers, Don.

I have been chasing this tank for 10+ years. Does your repro provide the central fixation ? Any chance of having another copy made?
