Post by semo »

Hello,

I am looking for my Girlfriends Dad for Spare Parts for a Matchless G45.
Especially the gas tank.

Can you please tell me some homepages, adresses, names or telephone numbers of spare parts dealer all over the world (delivery to germany)?
I tryed on google but I couldnt find usable results.

Thank you very much in advance.

I believe The Tank Shop can make a replica for the tank(s). Other spares may have to be made, too, if they differ from the G9.

Good luck! Don.

Semo, The G45 fuel tank probably didn't differ much from the 7R tank. If you email roger.crashby@ukgateway.net he will enlighten you as to the differences, if any, as he currently owns a 7R & has custody of someone else's G45. He may also know of the whereabouts of a second-hand G45 tank.

rocking horses and hens teeth come to mind here.
My experience of these tanks is that they corrode badly from the inside and its not at all easy to spot.
My advice if you are going to use it, is to get a new one made, the difference in cost will be minimal, I`d think, there are several makers of alloy tanks about, but I can`t find names, someone will know,
As for the Rest of G45 spares, good luck, I`d find a good engineer to make what you want
