Hi All, met a chap today who has about 10 7R and G50 crankcases pairs
these are new and all machined, really erally nice.
He wants £550 for a pair... I cant find any for sale is this expensive ?

Molnar Precision Ltd. has G50 crankcases in the current price list at £1300 in Magnesium alloy, or £1200 in Aluminium alloy, plus VAT and delivery of course! They also have 7R cases with G50 oilways at a similar price but in Magnesium alloy only. So £550 is cheap. Considering the work involved in pattern making, casting, machining and heat treatment are they too cheap??? Unfortunately you won't know until you put them to use.
