Hi, i am rebuilding my 2nd P11 using my first one as a reference ... i have stumbled across a small problem. P11 No.1 has 3 wires coming from the alternator a green / black, a green / yellow and a white / green, the GB and the GY connect to the GY from the rectifier and the WG connects to the WG from the rectifier.
P11 No.2 has only 2 wires coming from the alternator, not 3 ???? i assume this is from a later alternator ??? .... any ideas how this connects ???
Thanks
KC

Re: P11 Alternator
A 3 wire alternator can run as either a 6 volt or 12 volt system, a 2 wire can only run as a 12 volt.
Connect one wire to each of the AC terminals on the rectifier or solid state regulator (or whatever you have on the bike)
So in your case one wire goes to Green/White the other to Green/Yellow, it does not matter which way round, it's alternating current!
