G12 NODDY CRANK

Post by moley »

IM CONSIDERING BUYING A 1962 G12 CRANKSHAFT BUT AM NOT QUITE SURE ABOUT THE PRICE I SHOULD PAY?

THE CRANK IS ONLY ON ITS FIRST GRIND AND IS IN OVERALL EXCELLENT CONDITION AND ITS THE LATTER NODULAR IRON CRANK ALTERNATOR TYPE

THE CHAP IS ASKING £200.00. IS THIS A FAIR PRICE?

G12 NODDY CRANK

Hi Andrew, the real question is , how much is it worth to you? Personally, I think that the asking price is at least double what its worth. However I am not in a situation where I have an engine apart with an unserviceable crank, and this one is the only item available at the time I really need it. If you aren't desperate shop around, I don't think that at 200 quid it will be snapped up. It's your choice.

How do you tell if a twin crank is a noddy one or not?

Easy count the number of pieces and if it is less than two it is one!

Only kidding :-}
