Hepolite G12/31 CSR pistons 15036 what C/R?

Post by CAB »

Hello
I have seen some new old stock Hepolite +0.060 G12/31 CSR pistons for sale. The part number is W 15036/N.OV but I can't find any references that confirm that these are correct for a G12 CSR and have a 8.5:1 compression ratio.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
CAB

W15036 are for 1958/59 G12 CSR & are 8.5 -1 cr. Only you know if they will be OK for your engine as you did not state the year.

The Welworthy list indicates that the W15036 pistons are for the 1958/59 650cc engine. Presumably they mean fall of 1958 as there was a special model of the 1958 engine with 650cc for export. The 1960-up pistons are very different & do not interchange with prior. So there are 1958, 1959 & 1960-up 650cc engine varients, each with different pistons, barrels, heads & manifold and all not interchangable with each other. What do you have? Cheers, Don.
