There are details in the photos. Its in the Post War singles parts. Do a search for Zig zag tank details.

This is what Dave refers to. Its not very clear, I have tried to improve on it and type in dimensions.

I could take a picture of my G12 CSR with zig zag.

Jean- Noel. 1966 G12 CSR & AJS 31 CSR did have zig zag strip. See 1966 AMS sales cat.

Sorry ! You are right Rob. Smooth lines were only on G15 & M33 since 1965 - on. There are excellent pictures showing zig zag on all G12 & M31, and smouth lines on G15/M33 on the tanks in Roy BACON's book, pages : 45, 54, 67, 83, 130, 160, 176, 186, 189, 190. Thanks Rob for having rectified my mistake !

We can all miss some details Jean - Noel. I was not sure of the zig zag flash era on tanks. At first glance I never noticed any 66 models in the AMC sales cat. with the zig zag flash.
Then I spotted the 650 CSR models had it. Unless you knew about about the bikes you would not know a zig zag flash is there. You can just see something. If you look at other models you can only really see, something is different on the 650 CSR model tanks.

Yes, but...Searching in the pictures section I have found a 1966 G 12 CSR, very original, with smooth lines and Candy Apple Red, and so a 1965 one (BJE 92C).

You cannot trust restored bike pictures are all correct.

Look at AJS 31 650 CSR Hurrcane you can just see part of the zig zag. It is not so clear G12 CSR Monarck. Note also some models have diamond badge and no lines, Some have no lines and big tank badges.
