Hi,
I had to remove the chainguard from my G12 recently. On the front fixing the nut was rusted to the bolt so that the bolt head just turned and I couldn't get a spanner to the bolt head. Having finally removed it I'm now replacing the nut/bolt with the correct fixings (bolt, tab washer and nut). Is the tab washer supposed to stop the bolt head from turning? If so, does the bolt go through the tab washer and then through the top hole on the chainguard? I can't see how it should be fitted, but maybe the tabs on the chainguard have been replaced at some point (see pic). Grateful for any advice.
