Toolbox attachment

Post by electrajohnt »

Help again please.
1960G12.
Two frame attachment positions are obvious, top and rear side (brackets are part of frame).
Is there another attachment point, forward and bottom, or anywhere else. If so do I need a loose bracket of some sort to attach to where on the frame. Apologies for the banal questions, serves me right for not taking photographs as I stripped it down some time ago.

Those are the only two attachment points on mine . I don't think you are missing anything.

Hi

On my 61 G3 there is a 'Z' shaped bracket lower front:
Tool Box Bracket.png
Part number 026353 and is valid for all non competition models - see pg 48 of the 60 parts manual.

(Photo shows it during a trial fit of the toolbox, the bracket is bolted to the tool box and the upper engine plate stud).

MickD,
That's what I was looking for, I think without that bracket vibration would fracture the other two attachments.
Thank you JohnT

Sorry if I misled you John.
Both my machines are missing this bracket so I assumed only two fixings were normal
