Hang on lets not jump to conclusions. If the club sell speedos its not obvious from the parts list. Hitchcocks are an Enfield supplier and my guess is he wanted to be sure of the drivebox ratio before splashing out on an Indian Enfield speedo.

I might be wrong but I think the speedo drives from the club spares have the correct size hole in the centre whereas if you buy from elsewhere you will probably need to ream the centre hole to the correct size. It's a tedious job that involves a lot of filing - unless you have two reamers as I have. Cheers. Bruce.

I have had to file out both of the speedo drives I have bought from club spares. I found that using blu tack around the inside of the drive and in the hole for the speed cable whilst filing stops bits of metal going where they shouldn't whilst opening out the hole, and it's easy to remove afterwards.
