thank you for all these replies.
1 - @ Roy : according Commando owners, the external canister filter was a good improvement, and the early bikes, without this filter were often upgraded. If the filter causes problems, I could be delete it after running in.
2 - @ Ib : very interesting, superb job, but I'm not skilled enough to make the diverter, nor open a big hole in my freshly painted toolbox...
3 - @ Steve : usefull picture.
4 - @ Mike and Dave thanks for your help.
