Exactly. Someone who knows has seen your barrels. We only know what you have described. New ring set and it will probably last as long as you will need it to.
Now you have to sort the bottom end. Have you the opportunity of letting your new found mate cast his eyes over that?

He sed for whats worth see if they can regrind the crank and don't fuss about fancy billet cranks, just put ti together right and it will be fineTrevorCSR wrote:Exactly. Crank guy sed crank is at -40 but sed it would clean up at -50, he crack tested it and it passed, the rods were crack tested and passed,
Is it possible to get -50 ot 60 big end bearings?

Its nearly time to put the crank halves together, I was going to use that Yamabond three bond 1215 sealer,
should I still put a paper gasket round the oil filter hole between the case halves?

Yes, unless you're making a full gasket between the halves.

Yes it's very thin. I think if you're using Yamabond, which I'm told is extremely good, I'd just use the little gasket around the oil filter gallery.
