Noisy engine 61 31csr

Hi all , I thought I would post this because it may help fellow members in the future . Completed resto of bike and she sounded quite rockery noise or top end noise ( I know amc twins aren't the quietest of motors ). I stripped top end found nothing then I noticed some marks on the inner valve springs where it had been making contact with the outer Spring. I purchased these valve springs on an Internet auction site original Terry's ones , on looking at the springs I cannot remove the inner from outer Spring, checked some old springs and found out there should be quite a clearance between the springs ,!put old valve springs in csr and now it sounds really nice !!! Don't always assume original parts are correct !

Well found and good advice, nobody knows everything and sellers often not much at all!!

Measure twice, cut once, seems to work for wood, so should help with metal stuff!
