One for you experts out there!
Is it possible and indeed wise to straighten a G12 650 Conrod?
I am rebuilding a G12 and I have just discovered one of the Conrods is bent. I can put it on a press to straighten it but I wondered if this would be a good idea or is it better to replace it?

Re: Bent Conrod
That will be a definite no, because next you will be asking how to repair a hole in the crankcase.

Are you intending to keep the bike, or sell it?cdfrancis wrote: Is it possible and indeed wise to straighten a G12 650 Conrod? I can put it on a press to straighten it but I wondered if this would be a good idea or is it better to replace it?
Sorry Chris. Sensible answer; I would replace it, but no doubt someone has ridden half million miles after straightening theirs.
