My recently acquired model 30, which seems to run OK, i srunning two different plugs, b5es one side and b8es the other. They don't look the same colour wise!
Can anyone suggest why they may be like this, or tell me what it should be running please?

Model 30 spark plugs
There was some chat recently on the Ajay/matchy list about plugs. B8ES is a cool running highway plug, and B5ES is a warm around town plug. Sounds like someone didn't notice the different numbers - or used what was to hand !!! Or maybe the B5ES cylinder is burning oil, is low on compression or has a weak spark on that side, and a warmer plug was fitted to counteract this (you did mention different plug colours)
Since the B8ES plug is satisfactory, be worth trying a pair of these, and check the colour after a good run. Take the B5ES along as a spare, just in case its in there for a reason....
hopethishelps, aren'toldbikesfun !!
