The studs I have shown is original a bolt, but I prefer a stud as it is easier to remove the stud
from the right side with the chaincase in situ. The with of the spacer is about 5/16

Don't go to spec savers, everything will look like my out of focus picture. If you complain, they say you need time to get used to the new glasses. If you go back a couple of weeks later. i have found a good place to get stainless fasteners from and they have studs in all kinds of sizes in 26tpi so ive ordered some bits from there to do the job , they only take paypal but that suits me fine , link below .

it may be stainless steel and not original but sorts my requirements out easily and it wont corrode .
