Use contact glue (Evo stick) Brush on both parts, let iy dry completely, then carefully stretch into place. Start with the front and back. Then do the sides.

In the upholstery trade, chair seats are covered in a jig. Loading is, first cover face down, foam and seat base. Jig then applies preasure. The cover tacked on the base with minimal stretching. When removed from the jig, foam expands so the cover is taught. Difficult to compress the dual seat foam, unless you have a couple of 56 pound weights. The weights of cause left on until the glue has fully dried and stuck.
