Lawrence. More concern again here with the greasing of the clutch roller bearing. Yes I did put a skim of grease on the roller bearings, it seemed the thing to do, but I have been warned that an excess of grease will migrate to the friction material, cause clutch slip and be the devil to get off!!

Same rules apply to the clutch spring cups, apply a little grease inside and out. The biggest difference I made to my clutch was to ensure the plain steel plates were flat, as they all had a slight bow. I corrected this by using a three roll forming machine normally used to form curved sections to introduce a reverse curve that in effect made them flat. You will need a friend with a metal working shop for this device.[:)]
