I bought a new air cable from Feked & it takes a lot of effort to move the cable within it's housing.
I haven't yet oiled it as I don't want to void my chance of returning it.
That isn't normal though, is it? It shouldn't feel completely seized?

Re: Air cable seized
is it a plastic lined cable? If so oiling it may not help. If it is the traditional cable, and it is out straight not still wound round, then it should not take much effort to move it.
