I hope everyone is excited for spring!
I was wondering if anyone with an early Model 20 could share pictures of their seat mounts. I am referring to the portion that secures the seat spring to the frame itself. I have looked at the manuals and I can't quite figure this part out.
Thanks!
Jon

This topic has been discussed before. Have you tried a search? Fitting is quite simple providing your year has the fitting points.

I should have added, 1951 to that description. I did do a search, however I could only find pictures of someone restoring a rigid model ('49). The manual wasn't terribly clear. At any rate, I can keep searching around.

So, 1951 spring twin ( not ridged, as fittings and saddle springs differ. )
You should have looked in your parts list and sales cat. to clearly see the saddle fitting points. See below.

If you look in the manual :
http://archives.jampot.dk/book/Spares_l ... _Twins.pdf
2 studs 2 1/4" x 3/8" cycle and 6 nuts. The studs thread into the frame lugs and lock with a nut. The spring is supported on the stud and locked with 2 nuts. It can be adjusted for height.
Dave.

Re: Model 20 Seat mounts (solo seat, spring twin)
Thank you Rob and Dave,
I think that was the source of confusion. The front lug was fine, I could see that....For some reason when I looked at pictures I thought I was seeing a piece or bung between the frame and the bolt (under the spring). I can see clearly now that is just bolts through and is secured with nuts.
I have to remind myself that things really can be that simple sometimes.
I appreciate your help. Once again you have saved me additional hours of work.
