oil seal

Post by JARO »

Hi everyone,

I'm new clubman .I bought in Aprill this year AJS M20 1954 from Industrial Estate Keitering.
I have a lot of to do and I have two questions.
I dont know where I can buy oil seal to gearbox .I dont know English mark only dimensions , this is 51 mm - 38 mm - 6 mm.
The Second question is about screw from checking the oil level in gearbox.I dont have that scrow but in my opinion this is screw 7/16.
Of corse I'm not sure about that size.Maby somebady knows where I can buy that scrow.
I hope my English is enought to undrestand.

Look in the parts list for your bike. Then look to see if " Club Spares " has that part number in stock. It will be a good idea to discover all the parts you want, then get them all at the same time from the club. This will save you money for postage, by getting all the parts you need in one parcel.

Thank you all for answer.
Many things I can fix useing similar fabric but dimension of oil seal (main shaft ) is very atypical.
I bought in Poland about one millimeter smaller :D.Generally one milimetr is little but if we want fiting
two parts this is a lot.
Similar situation is with scrow.I dont want chang threads for metric , I want keep every details in orginal.
I will send email question to Jampot.

Thanks for oil seal and level plag. I orderd and you send me , now I have doubles.
Actualy screws are useless for me , someone changed thread , now is 7/16.I didn't know what kind of screw is in the shop.

I asked in the shop about something else , but without ansers.
My bike has old front wheel spindle in bad condition.I would like chang that system.
Do you have bearing in the shop 1,1/2 - 3/4 ( 38,10 - 19,00 - 12 or 13 ) ?
If that bearing doesn't exist I would like roll hub.

Jaro, The original bearings are no longer available - they have not been manufactured for a long time.
There is however a replacement "cassette" type" bearing and spindle assembly = part no. 900659 listed on the online store
