Head bolt torque
Hi Tony,
My manual covers 1957-1964:
Twin Cylinder Head Bolts - 16 ft.lbs
Twin cyclinder head bolts (3/8" studs) 25 ft. lbs
I use the 16 ft lbs on my 1960 G9 as i don't have 3/8" studs
Regards
Charles

Tony. I used a torque of 20lbs on my G12 which used 5/16in bolts. What is important is that you re torque (and also reset the tappets) after initial warm up, 10 miles, 100 miles and finally 500 miles. Set when engine is cold. I also slacken the nuts off 1/4 of a turn before re torquing.
