I think when I built this pump a few years ago I did a silly thing when I didn't spot the difference in height of the gears, yes I got them the wrong way round with the longer scavenge rear on the right and the feed on the left. Now that could explain a lot.

Good call John.

Glad you have found the problem Chris. I reckon that the lube system on the twins are really complicated resulting in many mods by the factory over the years and they probably never did get it right up to the end.
