Good tidy tank repair etc not the cheapest.

Do you mind sending me the contact details? Google throws up a lot of results.

Cheers Bitza, I gave them a ring last night & they sound spot on! I'll get my tank to them for repair this week.

Tank is brazed & back on. It isn't fully secured as I can't seem to get all 4 bolts to bite so that needs investigating.

Still, I filled her up with 5L of fuel to see if she was watertight & so far so good! Then kicked her over & she fired up first time.

Check with a search on the tank bolts - lots of solutions to this problem.

I'm assuming the fitting is the same as the singles. If it is make sure that you have the steel sleeves in the rubber mountings, some pattern ones miss these and you could wind the bolts in too far and hole the tank again; the correct sleves stop that.

Also have the right bolts with hole through the hex for wiring on. In the early days with mine the tank was often loose after a trip down to London (or back to N Yorks).

I'd replaced everything bar the bolts so I've now replaced those with new ones & they've all nipped up quite nicely.

Tightened the bolts till the rubber compressed a little & then lockwired them with new wire.

Jobs a good'un!
