Read the letter in the latest Potty about replacements. Roy mentioned "some very minor mods" such as fitting an earth connector for the black wires. (All my wires are black, but that's just dirt...)
Can anyone (Roy? Mike Scutt?) be more explicit? My switch is on its last legs and I intend to buy from Vehicle Wiring Products, but lectrics are not my strong point, so more details, preferably in words of one syllable and short sentences , would be appreciated.

Harris G80 Ignition Switch
As far as I know original ignition switches are still available from the factory (part no. 630023) unfortunately they do not generally supply the public but a classic bike parts dealer should be able to source one for you.
The Harris Bonneville ignition switch (part no. 620083) might also be a direct swap (available from Hawkshaw motorcycles £24.44) but I'm in the process of checking this one out at present.

Vehicle Wiring Products also have a waterproof key slot cover which may be a useful mod (35190 £4-51).
