The majority of engine studs/bolts are 26 TPI (CEI or BSC). Do not confuse these with BSB which has a different thread angle. Exceptions are:- Cylinder barrel studs, 3/8x26 nut end and 3/8 BSF (20 TPI) c/case end. Cylinder head bolts are 3/8 BSF, rocker box bolts 5/16 BSF (22 TPI). Carb. studs are 5/16 x 26 carb. end and 5/16 BSF into head, timing case bolts are 1/4 x 26, magneto chain cover 2 BA, oil pump end plates are 3 BA, magneto to platform are 1/4 BSW. Tappet inspection cover 2 BA.

You will probably find that some specialist manufacturers produce a complete set of bolts, nuts, studs ect for your engine. Club spares do sell them as separate items. Try ACME for a stainless steel set, the last number I had for them was 01526 832858.
