Engine Sprocket G80S 1954

Post by thygesen »

I am in need for a new 21 teeth Engine Sprocket for my Matchless G80S 1954. According to the spare parts list the part number is 014021. In spares list from Jampot and Andrew Engineering I can only find Engine Sprockets for Alternator Singles ( 024141 ). I expect that it should be possible to by a new sprocket. Can anyone help me with a supplier.

Thank you in advance.

Engine Sprocket G80S 1954

the reason (I think) that no-one makes new sprockets of this type is that the dynamo sprocket and cam face for the shock absorber would make it very expensive to produce.I had the same problems trying to get sprockets for my 1948 G80L.In the end secondhand from 'DR classics' was the answer,Richard is a club member who advertises in the Jampot, and on this site.If you really must have new then re-toothing a worn sprocket can be done.I think in UK the people to speak to are'sprockets unlimited',I'll check and post again later.
