Anyone out there know where to get hold of something near the correct silencer for the Harris G80. Its a Lanfranconi, something like a Guzzi. Found one place in Redditch but are hand made one offs.
Armours wasted my time, said they had one but was different. Problem with using other types is engine backfiring. I dont want to mess about re-jetting.Stupid thing is using my original complete with rattling baffles and rust holes it runs perfect, just looks a mess!

According to my information from the web Alternative Spares List,
the nearest to the original Lanfranconi is the one fitted to the Mk V Guzzi
Le Mans. Was your other contact Keihan in Redditch?
Hope you have success

Been away for a whole and have seen that there have been no other pearls of wisdom contributed.
If it's of any interest , I have a reasonably tidy silencer in the loft.

Hi,
thanks for the offer, no offence but I want 100% at a realistic price.

Hi Jon,
I'm assuming that you've tried the factory.
Also OS Stainless and Gazelle. Trouble with both of these are they are expensive but they are stainless and should last.
Last time I was in contact with Armours they said they could make one using my old one as a pattern.
One further possibility is to fit something else. The cheapest I know would be to try to see if an Enfield one would fit(sorry I can't remember the diameter required off hand)
http://www.royal-enfield.com/factory_seconds.htm
(also a good source of mirrors and indicators if you need them)
I've also seen a burgess pattern, a goldie one and heard of a supertrapp one fitted.
I'll be interested to see how you get on as I'll eventually have the same problem with mine.
Glenn
