1955 G80 rigid. Standard road model. Number has A prefix. Note this model has a rear stand. First year of full width rear hub. metal pins in metal holes 55 only, 56 had metal pins in rubber

A26424 left the factory as a 1955 G80S so not rigid,

Straight swap, was a popular trials mod when the sprung frame comps were introduced. To upgrade many rigid rear ends were removed and sprung rears bolted straight on. The only thing missing was the welded rear mudguard bridge that the comps had, however a bolt on one was soon made available.

In 55 one comp model was ridged, another model sprung. Not checked when rigid option was finally dropped.

Not sure when they finally officially dropped rigid models Rob as they could be built to order direct from the factory.
