18S rear spindle spacer

Post by G12atlast_LAPSED »

Hi all,

I've tracked down the reason for not being able to align my wheels... a spacer on the drive side looks to have been made from ally by a small boy with a file.

However, after consulting my parts book, I'm still unsure of its part number and where to source the correct replacement. It's the inner spacer here, next to the swinging arm, and clearly not square!

I'd love to know what to order, and from where.

Cheers,

Simon

Hi Simon

I think you are referring to 012604

The picture looks wrong though (too thick) if you compare it to the stainless version:

Hi

Use the 1960 parts list - page 56 has an illustration of the assembly order and part numbers

Shouldn't that spacer be the other side of the swinging arm fork?

Now I'm wondering! It was like this when I bought it - anyone have a definitive answer as to where that spacer goes?

Thanks,

Simon

No its fine, the order is brake plate, 022748, swingarm, 021604 & 021603 on the QD spindle and 021590 and 014869 on the wheel spindle. the washer 021590 should rest on the QD spindle not the larger nut.

if 021604 is too thick or non-standard wheel adjusters are used they will foul each other.
