There are many opinions and discussions on this topic if you search but fwiw, I fitted a remote filter kit to my G3 a couple of years ago quite easily, and have no issues. Got it from Paul Goff.

Andrew Dove advertises oil shut off valves in Jampot. They incorporate a switch to allow the mag kill to be wired in to prevent starting the engine with the valve off.

Personally, I have not bothered with a filter as it needs to be fitted in the oil return line rather than between the oil pump and engine which is the best place for it. If you do fit one then the oil tank needs to be removed and thoroughly cleaned and the oil lines flushed out and the small filter in the oil line cleaned.

Better than nothing I suppose but I prefer to frequently change the oil. Although possibly better still is to fit the filter and also change the oil and filter frequently.

Morgo (www.morgo.co.uk) advertise each month in Old Bike Mart.

Someone in the past fitted a remote oil filter to my 650. They bolted it to the trim panel between the oil tank and battery box so that it sat to the left of the carb, and it looked dreadful. I've replumbed it to under the seat so everything looks original, and it works fine.

I fitted this filter plate https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-details/20578, also 3/8" id available. Mounted it on a home made bracket
off the lower fwd attachment of the rear mudguard.

That's pretty much where mine is, except mine is fixed to the tube you can see to the right of the filter.
