1955 m18 dip switch
What sort/style of dip and horn switch should be on a 1955 m18? Mine looks to have a more modern one on at the moment.

This is what Lucas say, but many people like combined dip/horn switches.

Lucas appear to be in two minds, some of their parts lists are based on what they were producing at the time rather than what was original equipment:
Replica Lucas switches are usually available on line or from most motorcycle parts retailers.

I believe the parts pictures I posted are correct as seen on the list here for 1955.Duncan wrote:Lucas appear to be in two minds, some of their parts lists are based on what they were producing at the time rather than what was original equipment:

Rob's picture of the dipswitch that screws to the handlebars is correct for 1955 the horn push screws into the bars on the right hand side next to the twistgrip and according to the 1955 parts list, has the Lucas part no. 76209.
