G80S jetting

AMAL settings list says for '51 G80S:

Type: 89B/1AK (remote float type)
Jet block: 54
Main jet: 180
Throttle slide: 29/4
Needle clip position: 3
Needle jet: Std

The jet block will be stamped with the number.
The suggested main jet may have to be smaller if an air filter is used - no mention of this in the list.
The throttle slide cutaway is 4, that is 4/16 = 1/4 inch.
Clip in centre groove.
Std needle jet is .106 inch (stamped 106)
Jet needle would be the standard type for an 89 carby. Wotchit coz sometimes the wrong one is fitted.

Also ensure you do not have any air leaks this fault gave me the same symtoms.
